The Way of the Kingdom
A Journey of Reflection and Prayer in the Gospel of Matthew
Michelle Odinma’s Debut Devotional
A Journey of Reflection and Prayer in the Gospel of Matthew
We live in a moment when Christianity is often distorted — used to prop up power, politics, and self-serving systems rather than the way Jesus actually lived and taught. If you've felt frustrated by that distortion, or you sense that something is deeply off and you're longing for truth, clarity, and authenticity, this devotional was written for you.
Drawing from the Gospel of Matthew, The Way of the Kingdom reframes what it means to live as a follower of Jesus. Contrary to what many assume, the Kingdom of Heaven isn't just a future experience to wait for it's also a present reality: a mindset, a way of being, a way of life available right now to anyone who seeks it. Jesus said the Kingdom is "in the midst of you." Knowing Him isn't out of reach; it's accessible to every seeker, not through willpower, but through trust and surrender to His Spirit.
This devotional invites readers into that way of life — a heart transformed toward genuine compassion, wholeness, and justice, where people matter more than profit, dignity more than dominance, and love more than power.
The Way of the Kingdom releases October 18, 2026, in paperback, eBook, and audiobook.

Meet the Author
Michelle Odinma
Michelle Odinma is a pastor, speaker, singer-songwriter, and author who loves helping people encounter God through the Bible. For more than 20 years, she's served in ministry in just about every way you can imagine — as a student missionary, a Christian educator, a Bible worker, a singer, and now a pastor — and through it all, one thing has stayed the same: her heart for teaching Scripture in a way that actually helps people grow.
Michelle holds a Master of Divinity from Andrews University Theological Seminary, but her real classroom has always been wherever people are hungry to know God better — whether that's from a pulpit, behind a microphone, or on the page.
Her writing and music both flow from the same conviction: that the love of Jesus is meant to be shared, not kept to ourselves.
Outside of ministry, Michelle is a fitness enthusiast who loves staying active through athletics, enjoys cooking things from scratch, and is always up for trying something new. Home for her means time spent with her two lovable cats, Percy and Koko — usually somewhere nearby while she's cooking up her latest experiment in the kitchen.
